GDAM - Adding Flame/Heat Specific Content
min read
Adding New Content
Adding Flame/Heat specific content ensures that the correct navigation menu displays on that page.
When adding new pages (standard pages, product pages, catalog pages) follow these steps:
- Select the page type
- In the taxonomy field Flame/Heating select either Flame/Heat. If the page is 'neutral' (i.e does not belong to either flame or heat) leave this blank. See Image 1 below.
- Ensure Generate URL alias is checked. See Image 2 below.
- Save the page.
Note that the steps will look different for new products since those pages are created based on the products in Commerce Tools. In this case the product page just needs to be edited and the taxonomy term edited.
General Troubleshooting
If you are seeing the incorrect menu display on a page try the following steps:
- Ensure the correct taxonomy (flame/heat) is selected when editing the page. If incorrect, select the new taxonomy term and save changes.
- If the taxonomy term is correct, but the URL alias is incorrect (i.e. does not contain flame/ or heat/) uncheck and recheck generate URL alias and save changes.
- If these steps do not resolve please file a ticket with Group Digital.
If you need to add the taxonomy option to an additional Drupal content type, please file a ticket with Group Digital.
